FAQ's

  1. How long does the grout take to cure?
Our grout has a walk on curing time of 4 hours in dry 20°C conditions and will fully cure in 24-48 hours in the same conditions allowing regular use to resume. Please be aware that colder temperatures will increase the curing time and higher temperatures will cause the grout to rapidly cure; potentially affecting the colour/shade and strength of the compound.

  2. What is the best way to maintain my joints?
Keeping your joints clean is simple! Simply sweep the area regularly to remove dirt, leaves and debris. This helps prevent any algae dirt from being ingrained. And if needed, you can use our ultimate porcelain cleaner.

  3. Can this grout be used on natural stone?
Yes it can! Just be mindful that natural stone is porous and will "grab" onto the grout resulting in the need for extra cleaning. To help prevent potential staining, susceptible tiles must be adequately sealed before grouting.

  4. What weather conditions can I install the grout?
The weather must be dry and no rain or frost forecast within 48 hours after installation. If rain is forecast, you must protect the area from rain as this can impact the curing and integrity of the grout.

  5. Can I use part of the bag and save the rest for use later?
Yes, you can mix up what is needed and store the unused product for use at a later date. The remaining product must be kept re-sealed e.g. using a strong clip/clamp to seal the bag. We recommend the product is used within 6 months of being opened, it must also be stored away from moisture and extreme temperatures.

  6. Where can I use the grout?
Our grout is suitable for use both internally and externally. It is also suitable for use in and around swimming pools with non-aggressive water conditions.

  7. What base should the grout be installed onto?
The base and paving should be solid, stable and fully dry/cured prior to installing the grout (Concrete bases usually fully cure within 28 days). Any moisture present in the base will affect the curing of the grout and could cause a structural failure in the grout later.

  8. Can I pressure wash the grout?
Yes, the grout can be pressure washed (With a domestic powered washer) whilst maintaining a distance of 45cm away from the joints.
